Hah. Even for Hawkwind that's some hike! I've just recalculated
my rucsack load down to a tenth the size it was previously and added
some hiking boots! As an alternative though it's tempting to
simply raid the piggy bank, find the nearest big town that *does*
run a taxi service and pay the extra mileage. I have my age to
think of after all ................ 8-) Maybe if other folk are
travelling around the same time we could arrange to meet up
somewhere and share the cost of a taxi out??? Just thinking ahead.
