since Doug said (to me privately), that one thing about me is I do know HW
stuff....I'll bump in here and say.....there are 3 different pressing runs
of the stock copy (which is MUCH RARER than the promo) there are 2
different pressing runs of the promo that I know of....possibly 3 on this
as well.....the second one I have is VERY RARE and the gold embossed promo
emblem on the back is different to most you will find.....
another difference between all these is the darkness and texture of the
printing on the covers......some are very dark and beautful...(if you like
that cover!!!)
in the USA, promos are not a big deal, as in many cases with Hawkwind,
especially the 45's...they made lots, but didn't actually press many
stocks!!!
just try to find the stock "Kings Of Speed" WITH Motorhead......VERY RARE...
I have 2 different versions of this...I suspect there's at least 3....
It's all so insane and beautiful.....
PS..on the other hand....if you get promos/demo copies of British
LP's...you have truly got a rarity....
