HW: top 10 beginning with A

I don't know that GG was ever punk, in the strictest sense of the term.
Really it was just a lot of sensationalism of the worst kind and
anti-everything attitude, which is pretty much 180 degrees from the ideology
of punk, which has always identified itself as more of a thinking-person's
music. GG was counter to intellectualism in every way... not too far
different from mainstream rockstars, just on an underground scale. The
lamest of the lame. As a side note, my band played one time at a club
somewhere in Michigan which was being run by someone associated with GG, and
it was the seediest dive I've ever been to... upstairs there were all these
heroin addicts just lying around on beanbag chairs listening to hardcore 7"
singles on one of those toy record players you used to have when you were in
elementary school. Ugly people in an ugly room with nothing going on....
just sitting there staring at the gray floor, totally zonked out.... utterly
depressing.
