Just got back from the US. They speak (roughly) the same language there
but are they ever different? The TV is *still* constantly about the
Clintons (nary a mention of the new President except to say that he's
around somewhere as a street huckster saying "Buddy I could spare a
trillion".

To say it's bizarre would qualify for understatement of the year. I
can't blame Bill Clinton for being baffled. The guy can get blowjobs
from the help after passing laws specifically outlawing it and still get
plaudits from the National Organisation of Women. He can grope his
secrretary when she comes for help on the day of her husband's suicide
and a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy gets blamed. He can flash his dick at
campaign operatives and *they'll* be the ones smeared by the press. And
he can bomb the only aspirin plant in a foreign country and his own
party switches from "Impeach" to "Support" in nought to five seconds.
How in hell was the guy supposed to know that the whole country would
draw the line if he stole a sofa from the White House?
