Can and Neu - which albums?

The first Neu album ("Neu"--the red and white one) and the third Neu album
("Neu 75"--black and white) are the best ones. The second one, "Neu 2" has
a couple of genuine songs, but the rest is just filler, like the same track
played backwards, the same track played at 16 speed or 78 speed. This was
their vengeance at meeting contractual obligations, so they fleshed out the
album with crap.
As far as Can goes, seeing what musical artists you listed, I would say your
best place to begin is probably with "Future Days" which has more of a
dreamy atmosphere about it. After that, the other Can essentials are (in
order of importance): "Tago Mago," "Ege Bamyasi," "Soundtracks," and
"Monster Movie." Everything released later on in Can's career, although
pretty good, is nowhere near the brilliance of these earlier albums.
