HW: The printed word

I was browsing in bookshop today and came across a couple of things.
"On the road with David Bowie" details the Lodger tour which featured Simon House...one or two nice photos of Simon. One classic scene is described Simon, Bowie, and others listening to tapes of Dire Straits and Hawkwind. Bowie (on Hawkwind) "I haven't heard them for ages" ...and makes off with the tape!
Simon Napier Bell's book describes Hawkwind as half hippy half punk.
