Have to agree: the drumming on Genesis Live (from '73) is brilliant IMHO.

Of course, this doesn't excuse his subsequent crimes against music.

I was really into Genesis at one time- they were the first band I ever really
listened to, aged 13 or thereabouts. It was a painful business watching the
way they went. I think for me the end came when I saw Phil Collins doing
"You Can't Hurry Love" on the 2 Ronnies (cosy comedy show that used to
be on BBC, for the benefit of non-UK readers who may have missed out on
this cultural triumph), sometime in mid-80s I suppose.... then when Invisible
Touch came out, I knew the game was REALLY up. The pain wasn't helped
by the fact that it was my dearest wish to see Genesis live, but by the time I
they finally came to London for the first time in years, it was after the
"terminally-crap event horizon" and I couldn't bring myself to go. Bastards.

Why wasn't there more of Peter Gabriel's interview on that Top 10
programme I wonder? I mean, who gives a toss what the others have to say
for themselves? On a related note, I was surprised how much footage of the
early days was on the prog, and I see on Amazon that there will soon be a
DVD release titled Genesis- the Complete Story. Anyone know anything
about this? I would love to see more of Gabriel performing with the band.
