Hawk Logs Master Series: Part 3 (of 3)
11. Treadmill (58 minutes)
Live in Europe 1989
Brainstorm / Down Through the Night / Treadmill / Time We Left / Hassan I
Sahba / Lives of Great Men / Void of Golden Light / Needle Gun / Ejection /
Lost Chronicles
This is another good set from this period, similar to the others, sound is
not bad but not great, and Simon House again takes it all to the next level.
12. 13. Heads, Heads 2 (44 minutes) (46 minutes)
live San Diego on October 12th 1989
CD 1 / Magnu / Down Through the Night / In the Office / Time We Left This
World Today / Heads / Time We Left / Assassins of Allah / Wind of Change /
Assault & Battery / Golden Void / Back in the Box (Intro)
CD 2 / Back in the Box / Arrival in Utopia / Back in the Box (Reprise) /
Brainstorm / Dreamworker (unlisted) / Damnation Alley / Ejection
Yet another 2 CDs from this period. This set has better sound than 11, but
Simon House is not present. Well, you can't have everything. Another good set.
14. Live Rarities 79-84 (54 minutes)
Lighthouse (1979) / Silver machine (1981) / Masters of the Universe (1981) /
Choose Your masques (1982) / Solitary Mind Games (1982) / Waiting for
Tomorrow (1982) / Masters of the Brainverse (1983) / Coded Languages (1983)
/ Ghost Attack (1983) / Sonic Attack (1983) /
PSI Power (1984)
These tracks have varying sound quality, I'm not sure if any of them appear
elsewhere.
15. Live rarities 85 - 88 (53 minutes)
Choose Your masques (1988) / Battle Seq Elric (1985) / Masters of the
Universe (1986) / Assault & Battery (1986) / Assassins of Allah (1986) /
Magnu (1987) / Angels of Death (1987) / Lost Chronicles (1987) / Needle Gun
(1988) / Rehersal Jams (1988) / Dreamworker (1988)
Same as 14. The sound on these is getting worse.
16. Brainwaves (47 minutes)
Private Party 1989
Assault & Battery / Golden Void / Treadmill / Levitation / Damnation Alley /
Needle Gun / Brainstorm / Angels of Death
Bonus Tracks
Interview with Hawkwind & Samantha Fox about Gimme Shelter / Assault &
Battery (Live 1985) / Bob Calvert's Cricket Star (unlisted)
The '89 set has the worst sound by far of any of the other '89-'90 sets. The
interview track is I believe from the EP. Cricket Star was taken from a VERY
scratchy flexi, but its nice to finally hear this track.
