Don't forget that most of those jazz artists have been around for much
longer than most rock artists ... (which is the same reason why
the "average life expectancy of jazz artists is twice that of rock artists"
statistic is completely bogus - the only rock artists who are dead so far
are the ones who died young, because the old ones haven't gotten old enough
to die of old age yet, so OF COURSE the average age at death is going to be
very low for rock musicians!)
