I think Michael makes a very good point here; the request is perfectly
legitimate and I personally have no problem with it. If any band say "no
recording", then I will respect that utterly; there is no "right" to record
a live performance, only a dispensation that bands may grant or withdraw as
circumstances change. Even the Ozrics, who are so taper-friendly that they
actually sometimes do the taping for people(!), have withdrawn taping rights
from time to time.
