That's in 'The Entropy Tango' isn't it?  I remember reading that, too, and I
seem to recall it was in one of the latter books.

Also: 'An Alien Heat,' the first of "The Dancers at the End of Time" series
has a dedication to HW, Doremi-era, I think.
