Hi,
 Dont know if this help Nick,

the backing person in Robbie Williams band is Karl Wallinger ( he was certainly
there at the beggining of Robbies Solo stuff ( Kiss outfits etc era) he  is the
leader of World Party and was in the Waterboys...

I must admit, I saw Robbie and Glasters and thought he was really good < sorry
