Definitely not the best Hawkwind concert ever!

However, I have to say that some of the problems were down to the sound
crew; they were completely inept, even down to not knowing their own
equipment and how to connect it up. They actually managed to run out of
leads and had to borrow some of mine, thus turning my multitrack recording
of Mister Quimby's Beard into a straight stereo recording!

Having said that, there were problems with the band; Huw was "feeling
unwell", which was reflected in his playing, if that is what one could call
it. The combination of Richard and Danny did not work well; maybe it will
take a bit of time to settle down. Tim, who I admire and respect immensely,
really should not have been allowed to "sing".

Overall, a weak performance but one that was made immeasurably worse by the
truly dreadful sound.

Colin (the utterly pissed off person!)
