I was in London today and called round to Adrian Parr's address in Teddington. Unfortunately no-one was in, and neither were the neighbours. However, with a bit of detective work (nothing illegal!), I managed to find out that the mail at the property was not addressed to Adrian, but to someone else. That doesn't mean he's no longer there, of course, but I think it's extremely unlikely. I'll write to the occupier in the next week or two to see if he can shed any light on Adrian's disappearance (and not least to point out that his address is still being publicised on websites, etc.), and report back to you all if/when I hear anything.
Incidentally, I later went up to Portobello Road and can confirm that No. 275 is now called "George's Famous Mountain Grill" (it had been "George's Fish Bar" for many years).
By the way, does anyone know the whereabouts of a guy from London called Scruff, who used to work on Hawkwind's mixing desk some 20 years ago? He used to live on Wandsworth Road in south London. I became friends with him and he helped me out once when I had a bit of trouble with the law (nuff said!). But I lost touch with him in the mid-80s, and it would be great to get back in touch with him.
And finally ... I'm still trying to obtain a Hawkwind / Pink Fairies poster advertising a gig at London's Roundhouse in February 1975. It was green and pink/orange, with a picture of an American Indian's head in the middle. A member of this group very kindly produced a colour photocopy of it for me earlier this year (thanks again - you know who you are!), but if anyone has one, I would pay serious money for it. Please contact me offline.
Keep the faith,
