Hi again...

Clarifying...

>Dann Diefer - vocals, acoustic guitar
>Mark (?) Marianetti - vocals, poetry
>Steve Taylor - guitar (mainly?), sometimes bass (?)
>Steve Hayes (?) - keyboards (this is a guess...I'm not sure he was really
>with them, but seems logical to assume he was)

I looked at the Star Nation page yesterday (http://www.star-nation.co.uk)
and in Steve Hayes' auto-biog. (charmingly misspelled "boig") it does
mention that he was part of Sun Machine, so that was a good guess. (and not
a hard one)

>??? - bass (I can't remember who played bass for them)
>Thom Marianetti - drums (like Steve Taylor, a Nick Riff band alum)
>Jim Lascko - lightshow
>Scott Kuti - lights, occasionally vocals, Spaceman suit
>Doug Walker (Alien Planetscapes) - synthesizer, flute/sax - One-time
special guest

OK, put "Greg Kozlowski (Architectural Metaphor) - guitar - One-time special
guest" in here as per what Chris Raymond said.

And as far as tracks like 'The Demented Man' and such go, it was the
specialty of Dann Diefer (who when playing solo usu. billed himself as
Diefer Dann) to do these old Hawkwind acoustic tracks. He also had The
Watcher and We Took The Wrong Step Years Ago in his repertoire. I first saw
him play as a solo artist (a mixture of original tunes and covers) years
before Sun Machine formed, when he opened for Tim Blake at the Gallery Cafe
(east suburban Cleveland) on his Magick tour. When would that have been?
1990 or so?

Anybody ever know what happened to him? I've never seen him at any
subsequent Cleveland space-rock gigs, so I imagine he moved away some time ago.
