HW: how long, how many, and why

 a little Hawkwind poll:

 *Hawkwind fan:
since <shhh> 1969 - a 6th-former in my boarding school house played the
first Hawkwind album on a cranky record player in the common room and I
thought it was terrific!

 *how many CD's:
about 150CDs about 250 vinyl albums/singles (Hawkwind and
Hawkwind-family)

 *collects live recordings and other Hawkwind junk:
Anything that comes my way - tickets, posters, magazines, badges, wrist
straps (I've got a colourful bead one somewhere), books, comics,
t-shirts - ah but it's not junk 8-)

 *why a Hawkwind fan:
the music, man, the music!

 *First album you picked up:
In Search of Space

 *Seen live how many times:
As many times as possible since approx 1987 - when I finally had the
courage to go along to a Hawkwind gig by myself (no-one else I knew then
would have gone!).

 *Nik or Dave:
Dave with the band!    Nik is an astonishing performer in his own right
and carries an edginess of anarchy with him whenever he plays but sadly
he and Hawkwind really don't work together - whatever the reasons are.
