OFF: CD prices

Although Stephe is correct about most import prices, it's probably worth
noting (since this may be what Keith is asking about?), that Voiceprint
CD's seem to *mostly* go for domestic prices in the US ... i.e. around $12-
$15 for a single CD, $20-$26 for a double (this also being the case for
Fall reissues [thank you, Voiceprint!!!], etc., not just Hawkwind).
Although every so often, I see them for import prices (more like $25 for a
single CD ... in a couple cases, I've seen two copies of the same CD
['Spacebrock', maybe] at the same store, one @ ~$15 and one @ ~$25!).
Also, keep in mind that certain large US retail chains sell CD's (mostly
current major label stuff) at small or non-existent markups as "loss
leaders" to try to get you into the store to buy a DVD player or digital
camera or minidisc walkman or new washing machine or ...
