HW: off the rails

On the news this evening - the Britain's Network Railways have been
thrown into chaos.

Why? - you ask skeptically - Are they not always in a state of chaos?
Indeed so - I reply - But There Is Now A New Reason
And what is that?  - you query doubtfully - aware that there has been:
- the wrong kind of rain  (too heavy)
- the wrong kind of snow (gets in the air ducts)
- the wrong kind of leaves (wet and they stick to the lines)
And now there is.........        .....The wrong kind of heat
- yes folks - it's too hot!!

The high temperatures are apparently causing the railway lines to expand
and buckle so, showing great care and concern for its travelling public,
the Railway Network has been forced to impose speed restrictions on ALL
the trains.    Trains that usually travel at 110mph are being restricted
to 60mph, and this is particularly affecting West Coast Virgin train
services so...... if you were doubtful about making that connection I
wouldn't worry.   Your entire train has probably been cancelled by now
and all passengers put onto one that won't be leaving until Tuesday
afternoon at the earliest!

I'm probably being a tad over-cynical here but there are considerable
disruptions at the moment so don't be surprised if you find some
timetable problems.   However it *is* only Monday and almost anything
could happen to the weather before the weekend!
