it's power to incite, unite, incite, and inspire, however, is considerable.
why else has music of all genres been banned in countless societys throughout
recorded history? certainly someone considered it dangerous. from
stravinsky's 'the rite of spring' to the damned's 'smash it up', music can
'cause trouble', albeit under the right circumstances (meaning when it is
heard by those with the inclination to behave dangerously, i suppose....).
so i suppose i do beleive music can be dangerous; and i think rock music
should aim at being dangerous... the opposite of which is safe=boring. to
these ears and this heart anyway.
