Our journey down took a wee bit longer than planned, aggravated by a late
start because of my daughter's college interview and a dismally failed
attempt to take a look at the Uffington white horse en-route.
Prior to the festivities we started the day with a leisurely splosh around
and "getting to know" session in the hotel pool and then had a frantic
morning trip to Truro to find a wedding present, life having been too hectic
in the preceding couple of weeks. It seems our last minute choice was
serendipitous - especially since it involved defeating Ottakars' stock
control system and battling our way through the hordes of pre-teen
Potterists!!! The other up-side was meeting the lady from the "Screech Owl
Sanctuary" who had two owls with her in the shop to help promote the book,
so we got their details and paid a visit on the journey home. A better
local attraction than Perranporth (though that benighted place does have a
fascinating giant size sundial on the southern headland over the beach!)
The ceremony and the show have been more than adequately described by others
- definitely the best wedding I've ever attended! So, my thanks and best
wishes for the future to Arin & Rich from Helen & myself. T'riffik t-shirts
too! Hope everything goes smoothly with the relocation and that you'll be
properly united in connubial bliss ASAP.

This sounds as deadly a combination a a "Hosepipe", allegedly concocted by
the floating personnel of "Dick & The Firemen" some time in the late '70s:
1/2pt Guinness, a bottle of barley wine & a double brandy served in a pint
glass!
