I think that record companies don't particularly make decisions on releasing
or not releasing an album based on the level of home duplicating (cdr) how
can that be accuratly determined anyway.
They base their future decisions on releasing back catalogue material based
on past sales etc.
And as Andy said its also something that is held back by legal dilemas with
either managment or an ex band member.

Personally I really can't understand how anyone could be satisfied with just
a cdr given that the legit version is available in a store.
People say - too expensive - got no money - plenty of money for booze and
smokes tho - hehe
that sort of thing.....
