BRAIN: CBGB question for Al

I've been following the bits and pieces of news concerning the likely closing of CBGB. As a NY musicians contemporary to and influenced by the bands that made CBGB famous, how do the Surgeons feel about it?

For those who don't know, the owners of the building CBGB occupies want to raise the rent to levels consistent with other establishments in the area, which is in the midst of "gentrification." CBGB can't afford the rent, so it may close, or the owner is even considering moving the club to Vegas.

I'd rather CBGB could continue as is, but if that's not possible I don't think it should be artifically preserved as some kind of shrine or turned into a "Punk Rock Cafe" on the Vegas strip either.
