Nick, You Are Joking! High Praise! Peter Davison the best Doctor Who!

It's a fan thing, perhaps - I guess Davison is more popular with the fanbase
than with the public at large who didn't see through his previous work. Then
he went and did a couple of series of "Campion" and had he done that
*before* Doctor Who he'd probably have been in pole position in people's
minds to play the Doctor. And if he hadn't done it at all, having now turned
into one of Britain's best character actors he would be top of the list to
do it!

And I think Eccleston is going to be fab. Just watched an overview on The
Culture Show where they were building up the segment to say "it's just not
the same anymore" only to have the presenter come out of the press screening
with a big grin on his face announcing that Doctor Who really is back...
