"Burning for you" did come out as a single and at the time, CBS reps were
working it like crazy - they really wanted that to chart - they gave some
darned good deals to the dealers to stock that, partic the 12" - but radio
(as is the custom in the UK) for 20+ years - would have nothing to do with
it - so it sank, although I do believe it might have charted around 100 or
something like that.
They then tried the same with "Shooting Shark" later on - reps worked it,
etc etc - but the same thing happened - radio refused to play it - so - not
a hope!! - shame coz "Shark" was a stunnningly great single - still is - one
of the best rock singles that "never made it", for sure.
You can't blame the label - they did try!!- not that you are, but you get my
drift.
