Hi Mike,
I spoke to the UK distributor (Gazelle) on Monday to order my copy of the
hardback edition, and they were not expecting it in stock in the UK for at
least a couple of weeks, maybe longer, but wouldn't give me a date. They
did actually say it was 'not yet published' which is probably publisherspeak
for they haven't received their shipment yet from the US.
So - if you want it from the UK - and I would guess Amazon.co.uk and any
other UK website or bookshop should be getting their copies from Gazelle as
they have UK distribution rights - you may have to wait a couple of weeks or
so, maybe longer, but will probably work out cheaper.
Amazon.com or any other US based site may already have stock held in their
warehouses so that would probably be quicker - but more expensive in
shipping costs unless you can tie it in with another order.
Of course - it 'could' arrive at the UK distributor quicker - depends if the
US fans haven't already snapped up the current print run and how many
Gazelle were having shipped over in the first instance. Just hope it hasn't
gone into reprint - that could be a really long wait.
You could always see if your local bookshop can source it from a US
wholesaler - saves you paying the shipping fees. We get deliveries on a
regular basis from the States and they are fairly quick. However, there are
'legal' issues over doing that if there is a UK distributor so they may
refuse to do so.
Hope that helps,
Marie
