You're absolutely right Colin, and that doesn't even take into account the
number
of people here that leave their guns (why would you even need more than 1
anyway) laying
around where their little children can find them - and then they're loaded.
It seems to
happen a lot here. People forget (or don't know) that "the right to bear
arms" was given at
a time when the U.S. didn't have a standing army, and needed a militia made
up of the general
population to protect the country from Indians, the British, and the French,
etc.
