> The August 2006 issue of Aural Innovations includes:
... a whole host of worthwhile things as ever, but some of them
made me think.
> Don Falcone interview
> Dave Brock interview
It's a startling comparison between styles there, isn't it. The
Captain has rarely seemed so unhappy with having to answer questions,
whereas Don goes on for paragraphs. Were these e-mail interviews or
actually done in person? I'd have had trouble remaining polite with Mr
Brock given how uninformative some of those answers are.
> Bevis Frond interview
I'd wondered why the Frond was so quiet and now I know. Poor old
Nick :-(
> Spacehead interview
I'm always kind of startled by just how big a Hawkwind fanboy
Dibs still is. It's kind of endearing, given how jaded lots of others
who've been that close to the band for that long seem to have got.
> Earthling Society review/interview
I really couldn't tell from the interview if they were convinced
they were brilliant and being diffident, or really not sure what they
were doing that was getting attention but hoping people would stay
interested without wanting to necessarily agree :-)
> Tales Of The ACTION MAN: Helios Creed
<snip>
This is always worth reading. The news that Don Falcone and
Roger are working on a film noir collaboration using this stuff could
have been designed with me as its market, I'm really enthused by the
idea. It wasn't clear from the Falcone interview whether they were
thinking of an album or an actual film, and I don't really mind :-)

I'm an over-pretentious armchair critic and I endorse this
publication ;-) Yours,

ObCD: Mothers of Invention - _Absolutely Free_ (I reckon this is the
best Zappa album of the few that I know)
