Right you are! This is the very thing that keeps military strategists awake
at night and arms dealers fat and happy. Offensive weapons are relatively
cheap compared with the cost of their defensive counterparts. This point has been
proven in Middle Age Europe re; Castle fortresses v. Cannon, Irag re:
$150.000.00 humvee troop carriers v. $800.00 IEDs or in the USA re: zillion
dollar airforce defense systems v. a few hijacked jets. Throw in a few folks who
are suicidal and everyone got big problems. Not to mention a determined enemy
who does not fight by the established rules of warfare, think Gentleman
Johnny ( the bastards are fighting behind trees ) Burguoine). Or, the 7th century
Muslims who pretty much invented the concept of the Strategic Retreat--not
very honorable that lot, they take off their uniforms :0.
