Hi again Colin
I am sure that they will play a much better gig after
they have rehearsed for a couple of days.
We have here a lot of excellent musicians !
If Nik remembers that he is a musician as well then we will get
a great show !
The problem with HAWKESTRA was that we had at least 30 different
personalities
with 30 different interests on stage.
Unfortunately to much politics in this life !!
Cheers
Bernhard

Hi Bernhard,
I strongly suspect that it will be much better; the line-up that played at
Herne Bay had not rehearsed at all yet still produced some incredible
moments. With a few solid rehearsals under their belts, the results could
be quite amazing. I certainly believe that this will be a lot better than
the chaos that was the Hawkestra event.

Hi Colin
>Were you at the Herne Bay gig, Bernhard?
No, but all I have here is an audience recording from this show.
I know that just a recording is not the same like beeing there.
But it is a good chance only to focus on the audio part and not be affected
by the visuals I also know that a COMPLETE gig/show is the video AND the
audio part.
I am talking about the AUDIO part here
A fine selection of tracks but they have played not together but against
each other
Have listened a couple of times to this show.
As I mentioned before the best musician on stage was Jerry
Again I am very sorry to be so negative.
Most of the musicians from this show are good musiscians and great people.
But they performed on this day a crap gig.
Perhaps they did not have the time to reherse. Who knows ?
My very private oppinion is that Nik Turner is the problem.
Listening very carefully to this show you can hear that everytime when NT is
taking action the quality of the performance goes down.
Not only at the HB show but also during most of the other SR shows they did
over the last couple of years.
Lets hope that SR2009 will be better than Herne Bay

Hi there
This show is a good idea but if they play as bad as they did in Herne Bay
than it will be a waste of money.
It was an absolutely crap performance.
The only highlight was Jerry Richards
I only see one chace for this event to be successfull.
Playing without Nik Turner
He is the one who ruins every gig.
I am sorry to say it but it is the truth
Bernhard

I've got no real insight, but I think the band we are talking about is
basically the band as performed at Herne Bay for the Calvert tribute,
playing the music of the Space Ritual... seems like an excellent prospect to
me and I have absolutely no problem putting money into Nik's pocket (and
the
rest of the guys involved)... in fact, given the performance at Herne Bay...
personally I'd be delighted to put money in their pocket! :)

Hej
How I would love to come and see this but seeing as it will hardly have any
of the original band:
No lemmy, no calvert, no brock, no stacia, most likely not Simon King that
means it will be:
Nik, maybe Del Dettmar, Dik Mik.. probably only Nik... I don't actually see
the point except to put some cash into Niks pocket and those surrounding the
event.....
And I will not likely travel from Denmark to see it.. Let's see what the
details bring...before making final judgement.
