I, melne, your BOC and BuckDharma.com webmistress and NewsWire master,
will be riding my bicycle *545 miles* from San Francisco to Los Angeles
this June in AIDS/Lifecycle 7--a seven-day bicycling odyssey that
benefits people living with HIV and AIDS.

I'm reaching out to kindly and humbly ask you for your sponsorship to
help me to my fundraising goal!

Now, I'm sure you are wondering WHY ON EARTH would someone want to ride
their BIKE halfway down the state of California?

Well, two reasons. The first reason is that it is an *incredible*
challenge and adventure--and the sense of camaraderie built as this
"rolling city" comes together for a common goal is supposed to *quite*
the amazing experience.

The second reason is a much more serious one. This ride, using the
donations collected by its participants, helps to fund the San Francisco
AIDS Foundation. Their purpose is to provide services to people living
with HIV and AIDS, curtail the spread of HIV and advocate for access to
care, treatment and housing for those afflicted.

I've achieved 80% of my fundraising goal--all I need is *20 people* to
donate $20 or more, and I'll exceed my goal! If you can, please consider
donating toward this worthy cause--believe me, *any* amount would be a
great help! An ocean gets its start with a tiny drop of water! And your
"drop of water" is fully tax-deductible, plus you'll be helping people
with HIV and AIDS to live healthier, more dignified lives.
