Aural Innovations Space Rock Radio: Mooch/Steve Palmer Special (show #198)
Since the early 1990s Steve Palmer has led Mooch through several albums on
the Taste and Dead Earnest labels, and now Ambientlive. Last year's Dr
Silbury's Liquid Brainstem Band album was a stylistic departure for Mooch,
and an exciting one at that. But the new album - 1967 1/2 - is even more so.
There has been a flurry of activity surrounding Steve's music this past year
- new albums, reissues of older albums, his four albums recorded as Blue
Lily Commission have been reissued as digital downloads, and more is in the
works. This show is dedicated to Steve's music and features chats with Steve
between tracks, and includes commentary from John Sherwood of the
Ambientlive label and Chris Gill, who contributed vocals to the Dr Silbury
and 1967 1/2 albums.
Mooch Jupiter Event (from Dr Silburys Liquid Brainstem Band)
Mooch Truth Fairy (from 1967 ½)
Mooch Postvorta (from Postvorta)
Mooch West East West (from Golden Ear Machine)
Mooch Flow-Thing (from Gaiaspace)
Mooch The Crypt (from The Crypt of Artificial Intelligences)
Mooch Cycad (from Dr Silburys Liquid Brainstem Band)
Mooch Abu Hureya (from Starhenge)
Blue Lily Commission Seraglio (from Eastern Evening)
