Although I agree with Gary wishing that personal messages were sent directly
instead of to the list, I'd rather not see this list become fully actively
moderated, whereby each and every message sent to the list will be read and
approved by the moderator. I've been on those lists, and it's not a lot of
fun. It'll take a couple of hours, if not days, for your message to hit the list.

I'd rather suffer through a couple of dozen messages that shouldn't be on the
list (for whatever reason) than to see this list go that way.

Besides, Ben's got better things to do.
