As an early starter with SF, I read most of Wyndham during my early
adolescence, but The Chrysalids was the one that most struck a chord,
and the only one that I re-visited on several occasions. Haven't read
it again in about the last 30 years or so, the I did hear part of the
BBC dramatisation recently.

It is and having read it was one of the delights of my childhood. For
my English Higher (an exam taken at age 17) I studied the stories of
Verne, Wells and Wyndham (having been inspired by The Chrysalids) rather
than the novels on the curriculum (Tale of Two Cities and similar).

Another great telepath story is "The Lost Perception" By Daniel Galouye.
