UK's premier green awareness festival under threat from police and local council.

My only inside knowledge so far is of me having been to about 8 or 9 BGG's and I can say that:

1. There has never been any civil disruption of note and the parking and site directions have always been efficient.
2. At this stage the only clear reason is that an injunction has been served and speculation would probably not help matters for legal reasons
3. The council and police are fully aware of any necessary road diversions needed, the festival having been on regularly on that site for many years.
4. Stewardship at the BGG has always been very efficient...too efficient for the likes of a lot of the festivalgoers and equal to any other fest I've ever been to. 

Anyway, hearsay is not much use in this situation particularly when it comes from agencies in the pay and under the sway of the local council and local police themselves. We'll see what happens when the nationals get the story. BGG is the most influential green music festival in the UK. It is the only music festival that gets ALL it's power from sustainable sources, no generators on site, and it's value to humanity and to the future development of the UK in this age of global warming is inestimable.
