and I quote:
"Blanga is a cooking pot made of clay used by the southern Indians."
Who's willing to volunteer to enter in a *real* definition and etymology (onomatopeoia-based, right?) of Blanga from our standpoint? Carl, I nominate you. :)
BTW, what's the ratio of people who rhyme blanga with "bang" vs. "blonde." Count me in the latter category, but as long as it carries that "2/4 feel within a 4/4 beat," what difference does it make what the vowel sound is?

P.S. I just discovered some free MP3s at mp3.com (yes, it still exists) by a guy named Mike Wingate (www.myspace.com/acidguitarking), who turns out to be from NE Philadelphia (where I once lived in the 80s). Cool acid guitar stuff...calls himself AcidGuitarKing solo, but also fronts other groups including the Black T-shirt Gang. Just noticed that Jerry K. at Aural Innovations wrote about him back in 2003, so I am somewhat embarrassed to say that I hadn't heard of him before. Anybody else familiar with his stuff? Is he still going these days...I'm in the area again for awhile and could potentially see him play live at some point.
