 	There was something important that happened to me, as a PT fan, 
when _In Absentia_ first came out, and it was only available on import 
from the US. I nearly ordered it, and then thought, "No, I'll wait, 
because if this is out that far ahead of the European version, then the 
European version's going to have extra tracks on it so that there's still 
a reason to buy it. I'll wait till then." And I was right, of course. But 
since I was now essentially trying to outsmart the band (or their label) 
in their attempts to get my money, it changed something about my feelings 
for the music. I probably couldn't hear it the same way as the earlier 
stuff, because I'd first engaged with it as marketing not as music. I 
haven't actually been to see them since then, either, which may not be 
unconnected. Mainly, of course, they're no longer a psychedelic happening, 
but that's not the only thing that changed there. Yours,
