Hey Folx...
Check it out. Monster Magnet's Ed Mundell has a psych power-trio named
The Ultra Electric Mega Galactic
that released its first album recently. I heard them (via YouTube, with dodgy sound, but nevertheless cool...) cover Hawkwind (Psych Warlords and Magnu) at Tommy Grenas' HW anniversary party in SoCal (while some of us were on the Isle of Wight enjoying the "real thing"), when they were known at the Ultra Electric Mega Galactic Experience.
Anyway, it's good stuff, particularly the final track In the Atmospheric Factory.

also streamable on Spotify (different track order for some reason)
I guess he might also be doing some other solo album this year too. And he did the best track IMHO on the LUSH tribute album for John Rutsey's Rush (first album (my favorite Rush album) tracks only, covered by other random artists).
Keith H.
P.S. Deep Purple also has a new album out (Now What?) which I think it pretty decent. And now Black Sabbath soon to follow. Dinosaur acts can't be forced into extinction! Until or unless the asteroid hits.
