I haven't cared for the last couple of releases, but I think it's time to jump back in the HW pool.

Hi Stuart! I remember you, even meeting you if I'm thinking of the
right person, welcome back. I *think* I saw Fofp at the Manchester gig on
Saturday, about six people ahead in the HW set, but never managed to make
contact after a lengthy and difficult experience with the desk numpty
picking up my ticket delayed our actually getting in until just before
the Pink Fairies. I thought HW were really good, though, even if Dave's
guitar needed to be more present and up-front--actually everybody's
guitars, the PA was much more set up for bass and there was enough of that
going round, especially as Niall never took a guitar part where I saw.
Dibs is really growing into the frontman role, isn't he? (Whilst shrinking
slightly in other dimensions, I should say, lest that seems like a jibe.)
Also Tim looks younger every gig and Fred managed to find places where
piano actually fitted. I applaud them both! But given Fred is there, let's
have some violin too :-) Yours,
Jon (probably now disappearing back into
timewarp)
