I get why Jill thinks this way about the book, though the "not another 
book" comment seems to me to misunderstand the craft of writing. None of 
Silverberg's other books are like Dying Inside and I'm sure Jill would 
find some, such as Nightwings, quite lyrical.

I'd say Dying Inside is the most mature book on telepathy that I've ever 
read, and one of the greats of SF. It really ought to be a play or a movie.
