Wow...

I can't believe I joined this community in 1994, at the age of 21...i was a
wide-eyed BOC fanatic who had only heard of Hawkwind...that soon
changed...and my life changed...musical tastes evolved...there were other
more mysterious bands here often referenced...Amon Duul ii, Gong, Can,
Sundial, the list goes on and on...

I fondly remember the HW starters kit from Jill Strohbridge, the Griffin HW
CD box set I got to temporarily own b4 sending it on to Bernard Pospiesch
(sp?)

Getting to correspond w Albert Bouchard.

The Hawkwind Covers All tape project turned me on to another slew of more
contemporary bands..

When i started my college radio show ("space does not care") in '99 i would
post my playlists here...and get encouragement from folks.

The infamous Mumford ramblings...and subsequent controversy.

what a huge influence on my life this has been...

I got to meet a handful of you folks in person (Stateside), i connected w
the Aural Innovations crew here, too, Jerry K, Keith H, Doug P. There were
several Steve's who were frequent contributors, including Swann who was a
scapegoat for a while.

These are a few of my special memories...

Thanks, Ben, and everyone else involved. Good to know the archives will be
preserved...

Cheers,
Chuck
