From the Stones we did INE with a triple drum solo. Beatles we did were Me & My Monkey, She's so Heavy, And Your Bird Can Sing, Getting Better, Taxman, Paperback Writer, Slow Down, Bad Boy (we played that for the Clive Davis audition when we signed with Columbia) There's probably more. Betty Lou Got A New Pair of Shoes, Sea Cruse, Be My Baby, Guess Who's Hand Me Down World, American Woman, Who's Substitute, Creem's I Feel Free, Badge, Door's Luv Me 2x, Soul Kitchen, etc. These are faithful renditions of whole tunes besides Don would always throw in some different reference to other tunes in his solos every night (ie. Sea Hunt Theme at the end of Subhuman).
I'm sorry I've run out of gas on this thread. We were a cover band pre-BOC. We learned over 100 tunes of other artists as a band in the 5 years before we signed to Dullumbia. With our own songs, we learned over 300 tunes in the 14 years I played with them. I don't think I can remember them all tonight.
Al
