BOC: MP3s of _The Thing!_

Here is another batch of MPEG Layer 3 audio files culled from BOC-L
related CD bootlegs.  This time, it's Blue Oyster Cult's _The Thing!_
2CD set, recorded live at "Bands International," 18th June, 1981, New
York City.  The sound quality of this bootleg is pretty good, though it
sounds to me like the CD was mastered from vinyl, since you can hear the
clicks and pops.  (Another clue is the vinyl-length CDs.)  The setlist
is great.

Once again, these files are compressed using l3enc on a Sun Sparc Ultra
with a 128 Kbit/s bitrate.  The resultant MPEG audio files can be
downloaded via anonymous ftp from gromit.dlib.vt.edu in directory
/pub/boc-l/audio/the_thing.  There are two subdirectories under there---
disc1 and disc2----which contain the actual files.  Alternatively,
point your WWW browsers at:
