Gov't Mule (or the "New School of Gov't Mule" as the mini-tour is
billed) will also feature Mr. Chuck Leavell of the Allman Brothers Band
on keyboards. (Woo hoo!)
The new album alluded to above is actually the "tribute album" mentioned
not too long ago, and features a boatload of famous bassists. Rather
than cover old Mule tunes, it will feature new material, hence the "new
Mule album" designation. A recent interview with Warren posited the
notion of a brief international tour featuring said bassists on stage
with "the Mule." If they could pull that off, well, now that would be
something!...
Cheers,
Paul.
