Hi folx...
Wow...great gig! In fact, perhaps the best since 1989. Mostly the
same as Xmas show, but with a few changes that made a huge difference.
Most notably, an excellent version of Paradox, featuring two lead
breaks by Dave. And that middle bridge section with the fractured bass
riffs from Alan was monster. Nice e-piano intro from Jason too. Also,
A&B/Golden Void back too, this time with Where R They Now? coda piece.
Angels of Death was faster and therefore more lively. Dancers were the
same, but better practiced and with some new routines, eg., martial arts
bit during Sword of the East. Nice old opera house with high ceiling,
though stage is now shortened so that backdrop was actually rather
fairly low. All members in a good mood. Spacehead were solid as
opening act. Dumpy was there too, and guested on Bstorm and Silver
Machine. No new merchandise to speak of. The xmas single is for sale
again though. Crowd could have been larger (300-350?), but it was nice
to h! ave some space to move around and choose your own view. Off to
Sheffield tomorrow..Grakkl (FAA)
