for the 'boards:
His solo in "Quicklime Girl" is just suitably unnerving.
The break in Unknown Tongue
but "Death Valley Nights" takes the cake for mood.
...come to think of it, the synth swirl on Astronomy was always effective
on ST.
I think his best (or at least most notable) guitar work is on the
Stalk-Forrest Group material - a great jangly yet swinging vibe.
He contributed atmosphere to the band's material, which is no small matter.
